According to Alden Gonzalez of mlb.com, New York Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez was arrested Wednesday (September 22, 2010) morning in Queens, New York.
Rodriguez turned himself to police and was arraigned. A court order of protection was given out against Rodriguez after his August 11 arrest. Rodriguez was told to keep away and have no contact with his girlfriend and her father Carlos Pena. A week after he appeared in court, he sent his girlfriend 56 text messages, which violated the order of protection.
Rodriguez was later released on $7,500 bond and ordered to return to court on October 7.
