Story:
East Tennessee State University guard Sheldon Cooley was arrested Thursday (February 23, 2012) in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Cooley was arrested for filing a false report in connection with a burglary on Tuesday (February 22, 2012). Cooley’s residence was the scene of an aggravated burglary, where two students said they were bound and gagged during the alleged burglary. The two students reported several items were taken by intruders. Cooley, who was not present at the time of the incident, reported that $1,300 in cash that belonged to him was taken. An investigation revealed Cooley never had that money in his possession and the report was false.
