Former University of Nebraska cornerback and 2012 NFL Draft prospect Alfonzo Dennard was arrested early Saturday (April 21, 2012) in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Dennard was arrested around 2:15 a.m. for allegedly assaulting a police officer. Dennard was fighting with another man outside a bar and when police attempted to intervene, Dennard allegedly pushed and then punched an officer in the face.

Dennard, 22, is projected to be a second or third round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
