Pittsburgh Steelers running back Chris Rainey was arrested Thursday (January 10, 2013) morning in Gainesville, Florida.

Rainey was arrested for allegedly slapping his girlfriend in the face during an altercation over a cell phone.

Rainey, 24, was waived by the Steelers following this incident.
