Detroit Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was arrested early Wednesday (March 29, 2017) morning in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Caldwell-Pope was pulled over around 2:50 a.m. for driving 45 mph in a 25 mph zone. During the traffic stop, police allegedly smelled alcohol and put Caldwell-Pope through sobriety tests. Caldwell-Pope registered a blood alcohol content of 0.08 at the police station.
UPDATE: Caldwell-Pope pleaded guilty on Thursday (May 18, 2017) to a reduced charge of allowing a person to drive under the influence. A charge of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. He was sentenced to 12 months probation on Wednesday (June 14, 2017).
