Montana State University cornerbacks Naijiel Hale and Darren Gardenhire were arrested on Wednesday (April 5, 2017) in Montana.
According to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, Hale and Gardenhire were arrested for allegedly dealing prescription drugs.
Hale, 21, and Gardenhire, 20, were suspended indefinitely from the team following this incident.
UPDATE: Gardenhire pleaded not guilty on Thursday (May 4, 2017).
UPDATE #2: Gardenhire pleaded guilty Wednesday (July 19, 2017) to felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs as part of a plea deal. He received a four-year deferred sentence, ordered to perform 100 hours of community of service and pay a $2,500 fine.
UPDATE #3: Hale pleaded guilty on Monday (February 5, 2018) to felony distribution of dangerous drugs. He was sentenced to probation, fined $2,500 and must complete 100 hours of community service.
