University of Nebraska wide receiver Stanley Morgan Jr. and safety Antonio Reed were arrested on Saturday (May 6, 2017) in Port Orange, Florida.
According to the Omaha World-Herald, Morgan was pulled over after he failed to come to a complete stop as he was leaving a convenient store parking lot. Police smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Police searched the vehicle and allegedly found two backpacks with marijuana in them. The backpack claimed by Morgan was found to have 21.4 grams of marijuana and the backpack claimed by Reed was found to have 17.9 grams of marijuana.
UPDATE: The charge against Morgan was dropped on Monday (July 17, 2017).
