University at Buffalo forward Quate McKinzie was arrested on Tuesday (July 18, 2017) in City of Tonawanda, New York.
According to The Buffalo News, McKinzie was arrested and accused of trying to strangle a woman. He is also accused of making threatening phone calls to that same woman from the Erie County Holding Center leading to additional charges being filed on Friday (July 21, 2017). The addition charges were third-degree witness intimidation, first-degree criminal contempt, aggravated harassment and disobeying a court mandate.
McKinzie, 20, was suspended indefinitely from the team following this incident.
