Former NFL fullback Jameel Cook was charged on Friday (September 8, 2018) in Harris County, Texas.
According to USA TODAY, Cook was charged with allegedly stealing more than $100,000 between March 2016 and September 2017 after submitting 30 fraudulent claims for medical and other expenses from the Gene Upshaw NFL Player Health Reimbursement Account.
Cook, 39, played in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2001-05), Houston Texans (2006-07) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2008-09).
