North Carolina State University forwards Nader Jaibat, Monbo Bokar and defender Michael Nelson were arrested Saturday (October 6, 2012) in Wake County, North Carolina. Midfielder Jonathan Ray was arrested Sunday (October 7, 2012).

Jaibat, Bokar, Nelson, and Ray were arrested for their involvement in an incident at a sports bar.

The four men have been dismissed from the team following this incident.

Sammy Watkins, Amadou Dia Arrested

Clemson University wide receiver Sammy Watkins and soccer player Amadou Dia were arrested Thursday (May 3, 2012) night in Clemson, South Carolina.

Watkins and Dia were arrested after Watkins was pulled over after police saw the vehicle he was driving scrape against a curb and also for not having the temporary license tag illuminated. During a search of the vehicle, police found two pills identified as Adderall and Vyvanse on Watkins. Police also found a bag of what appeared to be marijuana on Watkins and another on Dia.

Watkins, 18, was released on a $1,620 personal recognizance bond and Dia, 18, was released on a $620 personal recognizance bond.

Spartanburg Methodist College baseball players William Price, Jeremy Buckner, Brandon Landrie, and soccer player Phillip Nelson were arrested in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The four men were arrested with the February 7th burglary of a residence. The men gained entry to the residence between 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. after kicking in a door. Over $115,000 worth of property, including jewelry and electronics, were taken from the residence.

Carli Shultis Arrested

University of Georgia forward Carli Shultis was arrested Tuesday (February 21, 2012) morning in Athens, Georgia.

Shultis, 19, was arrested an employee at the Tate Center Bulldog Café witnessed Shultis putting hash browns in her pants and then proceeding without paying for them. Shultis admitted to police that she had taken the $1.06 order of hash browns.

Shultis, a sophomore, was later released on $1,500 bail.

Michael Giffin Arrested

University of Illinois at Chicago assistant coach Michael Giffin was arrested Saturday (January 28, 2012) in Illinois.

Giffin, 25, was arrested after he allegedly raped a 26-year-old woman, then strangled her until she was unconscious at her apartment in the after they had met at a bar. Giffin was allegedly invited upstairs for a drink by the victim, but when she said she was tired and needed to go to sleep, Giffin threatened to kill her, then raped her repeatedly. When Giffin later went to use the bathroom, the woman tried to escape by running out into a hallway in her apartment building and screaming for help. But Giffin grabbed her by the ankles and dragged her back, then choked her until she passed out. Neighbors who had heard the victim’s cries called police and Giffin was arrested.

Cameron Dehn, Brock Granger, Nicholas DeLeon Arrested

University of Louisville diver Cameron Dehn, soccer players Brock Granger and Nicholas DeLeon were arrested Tuesday (April 19, 2011) in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dehn, 19, Granger, 20, DeLeon, 20, were arrested after police found a parcel containing a large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the address where the men were arrested.


Email statement from S. B. Granger:

“As of June 15, 2011,  all charges have been dropped against Brock Granger and Nick DeLeon who were tenants of the residence where the parcel was delivered.”
