Story:

Marshall University head swimming and diving coach Russell Hunt was arrested (March 1, 2012) in Huntington, West Virginia.

Hunt was arrested around 10:30 a.m. on campus in the lower stairwell in Gullickson Hall. He was allegedly found in possession of a small plastic pipe and a baggy of marijuana.

Hunt resigned as coach effective immediately on March 1st.

Charges: Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (All Three Men)
Story:

University of Louisville diver Cameron Dehn, soccer players Brock Granger and Nicholas DeLeon were arrested Tuesday (April 19, 2011) in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dehn, 19, Granger, 20, DeLeon, 20, were arrested after police found a parcel containing a large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the address where the men were arrested.

Email statement from S. B. Granger:

“As of June 15, 2011,  all charges have been dropped against Brock Granger and Nick DeLeon who were tenants of the residence where the parcel was delivered.”

Lily Ramirez, Daniela Victoria Arrested

Charges: Petty Theft (Both Ramirez and Victoria)
Story:

University of Florida swimmers Lily Ramirez and Daniela Victoria were arrested Saturday (February 5, 2011) in Orlando, Florida.

Ramirez and Victoria, both juniors, were arrested at The Florida Mall after admitting to taking two jackets valued at $130 total from Nordstrom’s. Employees alerted a deputy after they saw Ramirez and Victoria leave the store without paying for the jackets. Ramirez and Victoria returned the merchandise after being pulled over by the deputy.

Ramirez and Victoria were both suspended indefinitely from the team after this incident.
