Buford was arrested after he crashed into a fence. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.

Buford has been the general manager of the Spurs since 2002.

Robin O’Connor Arrested

Story:

San Francisco Giants payroll manager Robin O’Connor was arrested in California.

O’Connor was arrested for allegedly embezzling more than $1.5 million from nine unidentified Giants employees between June 2010 and July 2011. The alleged embezzlement was uncovered after a recent application O’Connor made to a bank for a loan for a property in San Diego. The application included a forged letter, purportedly from a Giants human resources manager. When confronted by team management on July 6, O’Connor admitted she took the money and agreed to return the money. O’Connor was fired the same day.

O’Connor, 41, was later released on a $500,000 bond.

Former NBA center and current Miami Heat executive Alonzo Mourning was cited for a traffic accident which occurred on July 17 in Miami Beach, Florida.

Mourning, 41, along with his wife were driving home around 3 a.m. from Miami Heat Chris Bosh’s wedding and Mourning struck his vehicle into one of two crashed cars in the middle of the highway. The two drivers of the crashed cars had walked away from the prior crash and were standing by the side of the road. Mourning got out of his car and checked on the two drivers. Mourning went home, then called police, who told him to go back to the scene.
