Florida State University third baseman Briana Hamilton was arrested on Monday (April 21, 2014) in Leon County, Florida.

Hamilton, 23, was arrested after an incident with an ex-girlfriend. Hamilton allegedly tried to break into the ex-girlfriend’s residence to retrieve some of her items. When the ex-girlfriend tried to remove her from the residence, Hamilton grabbed woman by the neck and slammed her into a coffee table.

Hamilton was suspended from the team following this incident.

Hamilton is hitting .313 with 9 home runs and 35 RBI in 50 games this season.

New Mexico State University first base Hoku Nohara was arrested Tuesday (April 5, 2011) in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Nohar was arrested for allegedly striking fellow teammate Shaleese Javillo in the face and then chocking her nearly to the point of unconsciousness. The incident occurred at their apartment when Javillo confronted Nohara about unspecified rumors which led to a verbal argument. Then, the argument turned physical when Nohara allegedly threw Javillo into a wall, struck her in the face and put her in a choke hold.

Nohara, a senior, was later released on a $2,000 bond.
