Former University of Arkansas linebacker and 2014 NFL Draft prospect Jarrett Lake was arrested on Thursday (April 10, 2014) in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Lake was arrested after he allegedly abandoned two of his dog. Animal Control responded to an abandoned animal call at Lake’s rented residence, which he allegedly had moved out at least six days earlier, on December 29. Police found one of his dogs dead, and another dog extremely malnourished.

Lake, 22, was later released on $2,500 bond.

Lake played for the Razorbacks from 2010 to 2013.

Former LSU, NFL offensive lineman Brandon Winey was arrested early Saturday (April 12, 2014) morning in Sulphur, Louisiana.

Winey was arrested for allegedly shooting former LSU linebacker Tahj Jones in the abdomen Friday (April 11, 2014) night. Jones went an apartment complex to visit a woman and Winey arrived shortly after to visit the same woman. An altercation ensued, and Winey pulled out a handgun and shot Jones.

Jones, 24, played at LSU from 2010 to 2013 and is a prospect in the 2014 NFL Draft in May.

Winey, 36, played at LSU from 1997 to 2000 and in the NFL with the Denver Broncos (2001), Washington Redskins (2003) and the New York Giants (2004).

Former University of Maine running back Zedric Joseph was arrested on Wednesday (March 12, 2014) in Richmond County, Georgia.

Joseph, 23, was arrested in connection with a murder in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is accused of fatally stabbing a 23-year-old man on March 7th. He is also accused of stabbing a 23-year-old woman through the hand.

Joseph, a senior, finished his NCAA eligibility following the 2013 season. He was suspended from the school on March 8 after the University learned of this incident.

Ten current University of Tennessee football players and two former UT football players were arrested/cited early Sunday (February 9, 2014) morning in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The current/former football players were busted at a large party at an off-campus apartment complex.

Former UT football players Dontavis Sapp and Isaac Mobley along with current linebacker A.J. Johnson and defensive lineman Danny O’Brien were all arrested.

Current players Daniel Sola, defensive back Justin Coleman, defensive lineman Malik Brown, linebacker Jakob Johnson, linebacker Curt Maggit, offensive lineman Dontavius Blair, linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and defensive lineman Dimarya Mixon were all cited.

Former college/NFL defensive back Terry Kinard was arrested on Thursday (January 16, 2014) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Kinard was arrested along with a 40-year-old woman after he allegedly admitted to police that he paid the woman $20 for sex.

Kinard, 54, played for Clemson University from 1979-82 and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. He played in the NFL for 8 seasons with the New York Giants (1983-89) and the Houston Oilers (1990).

Former University of Oregon tight end Colt Lyerla was arrested on Wednesday (October 23, 2013) in Eugene, Oregon.

Lyerla was arrested after he was allegedly seen by police snorting what appeared to be a white powdery substance in a parked vehicle. Lyerla admitted to using and possessing cocaine. Police and Lyerla agreed to meet at his apartment to continue the investigation. When he arrived he ran from his vehicle into a nearby apartment, but he emerged a short time later and was taken into custody.

Lyerla, 20, quit the Oregon football team for personal reasons on October 6.
