Marshall University forward Elijah Pittman was indicted (July 31, 2013) in Cabell County, West Virginia.

Pittman, 22, was indicted in connection with an incident in which he allegedly punched another Marshall student during an altercation on October 10, 2012. The victim suffered a broken nose, a concussion and a possible facial fracture during the incident.

Story:

Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader Sarah Jones was indicted Thursday (March 29, 2012) in Ohio.

Jones, who is team captain of the cheerleading squad, was indicted for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student when she was a teacher at Dixie Heights High School. Jones allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old high school football player four or five times in her apartment and exchanged numerous text messages with the student. Her mother, Cheryl Jones, was also indicted on tampering with evidence.

Jones, 26, resigned November 30 from Dixie Heights where she taught freshman English for about five years.

Northern Illinois University linebacker Jamaal Bass was indicted Friday (March 16, 2012) in Lucas County, Ohio.

Bass, a freshman, was indicted for hitting University of Toledo band members exiting the field before a November 2012 football game. On a recording of the incident, Bass can be seen jumping shoulder-first into the face of a band member and knocking over another as his team ran onto the field as the band exited. The band members received concussions. Bass was suspended three games following the incident.
